We strive to ensure a positive and consistent experience for both students and providers throughout the term. Occasionally, adjustments may be necessary. This policy outlines the steps and expectations when considering a class change mid-term.
At Togetherhood, we rely on our Enrichment Providers to honor their commitments once they accept a course request. This ensures consistency for students, schools, and the broader Enrichment Provider network. When a Provider withdraws from a course after initially accepting it, it disrupts the scheduling process and can negatively impact the learning experience. Your cooperation in following these guidelines helps maintain the reliability and quality of our programs.
Performance Improvement Plan
-
Timely Communication:
Providers must notify Togetherhood of any significant challenges or concerns as soon as they arise, rather than waiting until they decide to step away from the class. Prompt communication allows us to address issues proactively. This includes challenges related to the course itself as well as concerns about the school's culture or environment. -
Resolution and Observation:
Providers are expected to continue teaching the class while Togetherhood works to resolve the issue. During this time:- A Provider Operations team member may observe the class to identify potential improvements and support both the Provider and students.
-
Commitment to Improvement:
Providers should be open to implementing suggested strategies to improve class performance or engagement.
Survey Requirement
Before making any changes to the course, Togetherhood will gather feedback from key stakeholders to ensure decisions align with the needs and preferences of the school community.
- Survey Distribution:
Togetherhood will coordinate with the school partner to distribute a survey to parents and/or students to gauge their interest in continuing the current class or transitioning to a new offering. - Survey Analysis:
Feedback will be reviewed to determine the best path forward, whether that involves reassigning the course to a new Provider, supporting the existing Provider, or transitioning to a new course subject.
Conditions for Class Changes
A class may only be changed mid-term if:
- Feedback from the survey indicates significant dissatisfaction or lack of interest.
- The Provider has been given a chance to implement changes with support from Togetherhood.
- The school partner agrees to the proposed adjustment.
Final Decision
The final decision on whether to change a course's subject or Provider will be made by Togetherhood in collaboration with the school partner, based on survey results, observations, and Provider input.
We recognize the importance of continuity for students and families and strive to minimize disruptions while ensuring a positive enrichment experience for all parties involved.
