This policy outlines the importance of attending scheduled classes and the consequences of missing them without notification (considered a No-Show).
A No-Show affects the continuity and quality of the learning experience for our students. When classes are missed without notice, it disrupts our program’s stability and impacts the trust and satisfaction of our students and their families.
Frequent no-shows jeopardize our relationships with partner schools and have serious implications. By understanding and adhering to this policy, you help maintain the high standards and reliable service that Togetherhood is known for, ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved- including yourself!
Impact of No-Shows
No-Shows have serious consequences such as:
- Disruption of Continuity and Quality: No-shows interrupt the learning experience, affecting the consistency and quality of education for our students.
- Impact on Fellow Educators: Other educators often have to absorb additional students, leading to overcrowded classes and reduced individual attention.
- Financial Implications: Togetherhood is often required to cover fees and/or refund parents.
- Strained School Relationships: Repeated no-shows causes schools to lose trust in us and has led to schools ending their partnership with Togetherhood. This limits future opportunities for the entire network.
Expectations
- Attend Your Scheduled Classes: Ensure you attend all of your scheduled classes to maintain consistency and quality in the learning experience for our students. Please refer to our Substitute Policy if you need to miss a session.
- Advance Notice for Absences: If you are unable to attend a scheduled class, you must notify us as soon as possible by emailing info@togetherhood.us and/or texting (347) 835-5830.
- Make-Up Sessions: If a school requests a make-up session for a missed class, you are obligated to fulfill that request. However, you are still subject to the consequences outlined below.
No-Show Consequences
A No-Show is defined as failing to show up for any afternoon class without submitting a substitute request form at least 3 hours prior to the start of the class. If the class takes place before noon, then the substitute request form must be submitted by 5:00pm the previous business day. A single No-Show is a severe violation that flags your account and results in the following:
- First Offense:
- Your account will be placed under review, and you will be mandated to attend a meeting with our Customer Success Manager that oversees that site. A $50 penalty will also be deducted from your following paycheck for every No-Show violation.
- Second Offense:
- Your courses may be reassigned to another instructor and you may be ineligible to be offered new classes for the following term.*
- Third Offense
- You will be subject to removal from the network.
*You may still substitute during this period. By actively participating as a reliable substitute, you can demonstrate a renewed commitment to clear communication and engagement within Togetherhood, allowing you to regain eligibility for future classes.
Your dedication to showing up on time and keeping us informed when something comes up is essential. Adhering to the Togetherhood No-Show policy ensures a positive learning environment for our students, supports your fellow educators, and propels us collectively toward a future of excellence.
